The software has the unique feature of displaying the points for each formula in dual mode. On a first level the points are displayed on real life models and secondly on skeletal level for easy reference using the anatomical landmarks. Extensive use of special rulers next to anatomic areas makes the task of locating a point very easy.
The same time, detailed instructions are given regarding the anatomical location of each point, the deeper anatomical structures of the area, contraindications and detailed needling guidance.
M.E.D. is an electro-acupuncture software that can accept input from practically every electro-acupuncture devise that measures skin conductance, automatically calculates the energy level of all meridians and the treatment that is necessary to balance them out . It receives and calculates values from devises that have upper limit 100 mvA as well as from those with upper limit 200 mvA.
The use of color coding for all meridians and points and the use of real life models for placement of the points, makes the software extremely functional and productive in the hands of the therapist.
The user can see detailed anatomic description of every point displayed by placing the cursor of the mouse on the point.
Its design is based on the research originally done by Dr.Nakatani (of Japan). The user can choose any suitable instrument to get values of skin conductance from the examination points and then feeds them into the software. It instantly calculates and graphically illustrates all the points that need treatment in order to balance the energy levels of the meridians.
The user can print out the graphics with point placement on it, for easy use on patient’s bedside.
